F.A.Q.
can I Cross-train in more than one Martial Art?
YES! We offer Judo, Hapkido, Jui Juitsu, and self defense classes. Members of our Dojo are encouraged to train in as many martial arts as they can!
How many classes can I go to each month?
Members are able to go to as many classes as they want to. There is no limit weekly or monthly to the amount of classes one person can attend.
What is the difference between Judo and Jui Jitsu?
Judo and Jui Jitsu have many similarities and differences. Judo focuses a lot more on throwing, where Jui Jitsu focuses more on fighting from the ground. We train in both Judo and Jui Juitsu at our dojo.
Why Do I need to sign up for USJA?
All of our Judokas are required to sign up for US Judo Association. This is our affiliation for belt ranking, and our curriculum. We also compete in this association so membership is required for competition.
Is competition required?
Competition is not required, however, as a part of USJA in order to promote and get to the next rank competing is important. We believe that learning to compete is an essential way to grow in this sport.
What is the minimum Age Requirement For Judo?
The minimum age is normally 5. If there is a child who you would like to have participate that is 4 an assessment will be completed by one of our instructors.
